I like the pocket in front as well as the ability to add molle pouches on either side. A couple of questions. In the one pictures where it shows a camera tripod, does that allow for a set of traction boards to be mounted behind the bag? If so, how are the boards secured? Also, on the top flap, where the logo is , what about adding a zipper on top so that the flap part could double as another storage area? Don't know if this would be feasible or not. Otherwise, the bag looks really good! I assume the mil-spec version will be identical to this one, just with different material correct? Looking forward to ordering one. 😀

The straps where you see the tripod as a place holder, are part of the lid and they are secured via a metal tensioner, plus when the lid is closed, the lid clips themselves are the second line of retention. This is designed for traction boards, but will hold any long item such as camping chairs or tables. The lid does have a zipper, it runs all along the upper edge and is under the little flap you see there so it’s protected from rain and mud. Much bigger access than before. Mil Spec will be the same look/ features but different colours and mil spec webbing, which is more expensive.
